Simmer vindsurfingsegel Evoq 2027/28
Evoq 2027/28 är ett mångsidigt X-Over-segel för windsurfaren som vill ha kontroll och prestanda i alla förhållanden, från plattvatten till vågor. Seglet är omarbetat från grunden tillsammans med världsmästaren Marc Paré och bygger på förbättrad tryckfördelning, lägre vikt och ett bredare vindregister. Resultatet är ett segel som känns lätt i handen, planar tidigt och levererar jämn, förutsägbar kraft med god manöverbarhet.
Konstruktionen använder slitstarka premiummaterial som VX-Ply, Bi-Ply i foten och en ny mastficka i ett stycke för ökad livslängd och stabil form över tid. Fyra lattor i de mindre storlekar ger smidighet och kontroll i vågor, medan fem lattor i större storlekar ger effektivitet och driv. Evoq passar både erfarna vågseglare och fritidsåkare som vill ha ett lättseglat och pålitligt segel för varierande förhållanden.

**Evoq – The Art of Control**
The 2027/28 Evoq presents the evolution of the X-Over sail, designed as a solution for avid windsurfers who want to make the most out of any day on the water, whether blasting on the lake or riding waves. The new Evoq has been redesigned from the ground up through the perspective of World Champion Marc Paré, supported by the lifetime experience of Simmer sail designer Tomas Persson. This research and development journey has taken them across the world, with Marc personally involved on the factory floor in China to ensure that no detail has been overlooked, securing what they call the art of control. The sail has been tested and approved in all conditions by the entire team, led by Ben Proffitt.
The Evoq is designed to maximize performance in all conditions, offering true plug-and-play performance while maintaining the powerful characteristics of its predecessors. At the same time, it introduces improved maneuverability, an expanded wind range, and increased forward drive. These improvements are achieved through better load distribution across the sail body, allowing for less luff curve and resulting in a lighter, crisper response.
The sail has also been optimized for reduced weight and improved longevity. It incorporates new premium materials such as VX-Ply, a Bi-Ply foot panel, and a new one-piece ripstop mast sleeve. Additional reinforcements and updated panel layouts help reduce stretch and deformation over time, ensuring that the sail maintains its shape and performance through many sessions.
Another important development is the optimized aspect ratio. Larger sizes with five battens feature a higher aspect ratio for increased efficiency and power, while smaller sizes with four battens have a lower aspect ratio, giving them a lighter and more maneuverable character.
The third generation Evoq redefines X-Over windsurfing by delivering consistent performance across all conditions. It is designed to feel even lighter in your hands while providing predictable power across a wider wind range than ever before. The design uses premium scrim materials similar to those found in the Blacktip Pro, improving load distribution throughout the sail for sharp and responsive handling.
A new one-piece ripstop mast sleeve with a slightly straighter luff curve helps release energy from the mast, increasing maneuverability and forward drive. This allows for earlier planing, easier gybes, and stronger acceleration through turns. All reinforcements and patches have been reconfigured to enhance durability, reduce stretch, and lower overall weight.
The Evoq is offered in sizes from 3.7 to 6.5 square meters. The smaller sizes from 3.7 to 4.7 use a four-batten configuration, while sizes from 5.0 to 6.5 use a five-batten setup. This split design ensures optimal spacing of battens, achieving a balanced combination of power, control, and stability. The main window in sizes from 3.7 to 5.3 features X-Ply construction for durability in demanding wave conditions, while the larger sizes use monofilm to maximize visibility and performance.
Key rider benefits include plug-and-play usability in all conditions, from waves to flat water, a stable sail profile delivering predictable power, and optimized batten layouts for consistent handling across all sizes. The X-Ply panel layout in smaller sizes further enhances durability in wave environments. The Evoq is versatile enough for both experienced wave sailors and recreational riders.
The sail includes several construction features designed to enhance performance and durability. These include a lightweight EVA tack fairing, a Bi-Ply foot panel for increased puncture resistance, VX-Ply panels for improved load alignment and durability, overlapping VX-Ply clew patches for strength in high-load areas, and a wider X-Ply luff panel for reduced stretch and a more direct feel. The design also features a new one-piece mast sleeve construction and a mini batten that improves leech stabilization while reducing weight. Additional reinforcements help control load distribution and maintain shape over time.
