Neil Pryde Windsurfing Sail V8 2025
Neilpryde's V8 is a popular freerace sail that has an incredible amount of bottom drag but at the same time is light in the hand with a soft feel without any direct backhand pressure. It is very similar to a Speedster except that the V8 has more bottom drag and in marginal conditions much easier gets you into planing. The V8 has good speed resources and for being a sail with cambers is relatively easy to both gybe and tack with. The rotation of the camber battens is very easy. Water starting or pulling the rig is also not something that is experienced as more difficult compared to a sail without camber. So this should not discourage anyone looking for a sail with bottom drag to plan easily and that does not require a super skilled sailor to get the speed resources out of the sail. The V8 is easy to rig, perhaps the most easily rigged of all Neilpryde sails? The V8 is best suited for freerace and speed-oriented freeride boards.
