Leash

The leash is an elastic safety line between you and the board. The leash is attached around your ankle with a Velcro strap and at the back of the board. The leash ensures that you have constant contact with the board and that it does not fly away with the waves when you fall. The leash is a safety feature for you but also for other surfers. A leash should be about the same length as your board.
