JP Magic Move – Playful freeride sailing in medium to strong winds
JP Magic Move is an easy-to-sail freemove board for medium to strong winds, perfect for freeride and bump-&-jump. It plans early, keeps speed through gybes and feels safe both on lakes and in ocean waves. The shape provides quick response, good maneuverability and a lively feel that makes it an obvious choice for those who want speed and carving joy.
The board is closer to Freestyle Wave than traditional freeride models, with a longer and wider outline and a significantly wider tail that provides better lift and stability in marginal winds. With a parallel outline and the even volume distribution, it carries well when you are not planing and lifts up into planing with minimal pumping. The unique rail shape, with a raised apex from the middle and forward, provides extra lift through the turn and higher exit speed. Towards the tail, the rail tapers with a distinct step rail that combines volume with good grip in tight turns. The flat scoop rocker provides early planing and speed, while the double concave at the front dampens chop. The reduced V shape between the foot straps and the increasing V towards the stern provides a nice mix of stability, control and playfulness. The Magic Move comes with a G10 fin, multiple foot strap positions, Powerbox and has reinforcements in the parabolic rails, Innegra nose and full wood sandwich bottom.
This is a board that plans earlier than a Freestyle Wave, is more versatile than pure freeride and provides a lively, fun and controlled ride - pure candy for high-wind freeride.
