Pads

Pads are mounted on the back of the board to provide grip and feel. They come in many designs but their function is the same. The tailpad provides better grip and allows you to angle your foot without slipping - something that is very important in radical turns. Then it's good to have a tailpad because it makes it easier to find the right position with your back foot. With your foot on the tailpad you know you're in the right place - you can tell.
